CrossFit has given me the opportunity to turn my passion for coaching and hobby of staying active and fit into a living. I pursued the sport of field hockey through high school and college and after graduating, I became the head coach for a state championship varsity field hockey program in Northern VA and led my team to the state semi-finals and championship game 2 out of 3 years as head coach. I had been searching for something to replace the competition and physical challenge that team sports provided. I fell in love with CrossFit in 2011 and believe this sport is not just about fitness or health, it is truly about community. Coaching allows me the opportunity to share in the journeys, PR’s, frustrations, tears, goals, fears and triumphs of each of our members.
In 2017 I became a Regional Director for BIRTHFIT and a DONA trained birth doula in 2018. I help women & their families navigate the transition into parenthood through educating about fitness, nutrition and mindset. Having a baby is the most athletic event of a woman’s life and everyone has the right to feel supported and empowered to make decisions that support their goals and values. I strive to be a resource of support for women in my community and offer consultations, classes and services to meet these needs.
